no, it's just like everything else that is different - people hate it because it's not the same and out of their comfort zone. also, they find it weird , seeing as though emo people are known for "hating themselves" - even if some people just like the style

maybe it's the embracing of "effeminate" qualities? showing emotion, wearing tight clothes, having long unisex hair, that type of stuff. a lot of men feel threatened by stuff like that.

Its the tight jeans and smeared makeup with womans hairstyles that were all the craze in the 90's. It's the way they skulk around outside cinemas and glare at u through their mega greasey long fringes like you are the cause of all of society's problems. (im a chick but i gotta listen to my husband moan after he sees one.)

Jealousy. Some girls think emo guys are cute. Also these guys are quite a bit different than the A%26amp;F guys. These "emo" people all appear to act wealthier than they look sorta like "goths". They either want your money (If you have it) or just hate it that you dress differently.

I personally think they're cool, there's nothing wrong with them. Alot of them are skinny... so?

dont take offense but, the emo scene is branded as a whiny sappy scene, People think that emo kids are sad, depressed, more feminine. Not to mention the tight jeans and yes, the hair. I hear alot of people making fun of emo kids' hair. The emo scene is like the new geeks or nerds that jocks love to make fun of.
