How do i cut my hair like craig mabbit from blessthefall?

he's got like a scene mullet thing with side bangs goin on i guess..haha

i'd like to do this myself..so any tips would be greatly appreciated.

ok i really think the best way to do it would be to go to a hairdresser, but if you really want to do it yourself, this is what i got:

-have a trusted friend or whoever around to make sure you don't totally fck up your hair. they also might be able to help you in the back.

-get a really good pair of hair cutting scissors and maybe a razor for the front. also get one of those jaw clips to put some of your hair up.

-wash your hair first because it's almost impossible to cut your hair when it's dry!!!

-obviously you're going to need to layer it a LOT. you're gonna start with the bottom layer being the longest. so leave as much hair as you want for the bottom layer down, and clip the rest up on top of your head. hold all the hair on the back of your head straight up and use the scissors to cut it. do the same to the sides/front and then trim it a little so it's all even. then open up the clip, and let the next layer of hair down. repeat the above steps, except cut it about an inch shorter. repeat that for all the layers you need, it looks like there's about 3-5 layers.

-for the front, it looks like you'd need to take a razor and angle it, making the front of the hair shorter and getting longer as you get towards the back. you might want to use the razor for the bangs too.

-if you have thin hair you might want to get some mousse or gel to give it a little volume.

edit: scratch that last part. i found some more pics and it looks like you're gonna need a straightener, not gel. sorry.

umm well that's all i had. i'm not a hairdresser or anything, that's just based on how my stylist layers my hair. even if you don't want to get it professionally done you might want to consult them for some real advice. good luck
