that doesnt happen rite? i have a weird thing. its a secret only my close friends knew about but i think those girls are hot. with the crazy hair and the makeup and the short shorts. but they only date skinny guys who wear black and pink clothes and makeup right? they would not be caught dead with a muscular clean cut jock kind of guy right? i was with my friends the other day and i saw this one girl and i tried to flirt with her and tell her shes so pretty and all but i could tell she thought i was making fun of her. it didnt help that one of her friends knew my friends from high school and back then they did pick on him. and also my friends were laughing in the background even though i wanted them to shut up because i was really attracted to her. i dont think they were being mean it was just me and the girl looked so weird together. next time should i just try without my friends there? or should i just give up and stick with more typical girls?

first Punk and "scene" are two subclass....(real) punk is not scene its anti-scene.

do the punk thing and tell your friends to piss off. if you like her give it a 2ed shot. let her know you like her for who she is, and that your attracted to her. show some interest in what she likes and you don't think its all bullocks. but punk/scene girls like to go to gigs and shows and all that good stuff. there into there music like The Descendents, NoFX and sex pistols. if you cant do that it might not last long. and then you can stick with your typical girls...but i think you should give it one more try, so you at lest say you tried.

And they might be into "muscular clean cut jocks," just not self absorbed assholes. like *ahem* someone.

And telling a girl she's pretty is the stupidest way to flirt; because of its unoriginality. maybe thats why she was making fun of you, because your ********* is ,in reality, lame.

try without your friends. i know usually the scene type of girls like the emo dudes with the tight jeans, black clothes, and mascara. but i bet some of them like clean cut, jock-ish dudes. i'd def try again if I were you..i think the fact that ur friends were there laughing kinda ruined it, and she prob thought u were being sarcastic.

well, i've seen punk/scene girls with no punk guys, but a few, if u really like her, then try to talk to her but without ur friends around, maybe they want to help, but there are things one has to do without them, just dont tell them when ur planning to talk to her, u dont want them to screw ur moment, but go ahead and give it a try, for something different we're used to see everyday, like u say, with typical girls, i like it when in a couple no one is, lets say the same, they set the example that between 'different' people more than friendship can exist, so talk to her and good luck.

I've been called scene and punk (though i don't really view myself that way) and I've dated "jock" guys and "scene" guys. To me, it's not a guy's look that's attractive, it's his personality.

If you talk to her and show her what kind of a guy you are, then she'll probably be more likely to respond to you than if you just go hit on her with your friends laughing behind you.
