I'm thinking about tape to section the parts off...i'm not quite sure. i'm also afraid the black will run into the blonde.

Any suggestions/tips?

Truly, your best bet is to tape it. Dye and bleach(use a powder bleach with a 30 or 40 vol. developer) are typically pretty thick, so there isn't really a huge risk of it running. You could also section it off with tiny rubber bands and color it in alternating sections. The other option would be to paint it with a brush, which I've done before, but you have to be super careful or it won't be precise enough for that kind of look. Hope this helped!

I suggest you dont do it yourself. You could majorly mess up your hair and then definately have to go to a professional to get it fixed. I would definately go to a professional, if that is to expensive for you I would suggest looking for a beauty school in your area. It would save you probably 50% of what it would cost at an actual salon.. This hairstyle would be great experience for the students and dont worry everything the student does to you is monitored by an instructor.
